Renfrewshire’s Provost is urging local people to spread their wings and be a hero for the day by helping her raise awareness for a worthwhile cause.

The sky will be the limit for the Provost Anne Hall in August when she takes part in a wing-walking display for Help for Heroes.

And she’s looking for 19 big-hearted locals to join her in travelling at speeds of up to 135mph, while strapped securely to a plane’s wing.

There will be two chances for people to take part as the displays will take place on Wednesday 20 and again on Thursday 21 August

Provost Hall said: “Help for Heroes is an extremely worthwhile charity that raises much-needed funds for our wounded and injured service men and women who have shown bravery and courage in serving their country. I’m aiming to raise £500 for the charity through the wing-walk, but if we could raise more I’d be absolutely thrilled.

“The wing-walk will be an amazing and thrilling experience and I’m looking for 19 people to join me to help me raise money for a good cause.”

For more information on how to take part in the wing-walk, please contact the events team on towncentres@renfrewshire.gov.uk or call 0141 618 6794.
