Local historian Dr. Chris Brown will also reveal that he believes Wallace was not from Elderslie.

“The only thing accurate about Braveheart are the names” says Dr Brown.
He also claims that Wallace’s capture and handover to the English King was actually an attempt at restoring peace between Scotland and England.
Wallace was also rich, moved in influential circles and would have been well educated, not a poor farmers boy and a man of the people which we all thought.
