Rouken Glen Park is getting set to play host to Armed Forces Day in a few weeks.
The fantastic and popular event will have a wide variety of attractions for all ages.
It’s free, family friendly and will take place on Saturday June 20 from noon.
It will open at midday with the rising of the Armed Forces Day flag at the park’s Pavilion.
There will be a military parade of serving and retired servicemen and women together with pipe and military bands at 1pm.
In the main events area, attractions will include a military display, climbing wall, birds of prey, assault courses, farmers market, craft stalls and a chance to try archery.
Vintage military vehicles and costumes will be on show, the pond will feature military model boats and the 3SIXTY bike display team will perform during the afternoon.
Also, performances from the combined Highland and Lowland Regiment Band, Le Dance Studio and special guests, West of Scotland Military Wives Choir will feature throughout the day.
Armed Forces Day is a national celebration designed to give people the opportunity to show support for the men and women who make up the armed forces community, from serving troops to service families and from veterans to cadets.
