A toddler from Kilbarchan is in hospital after she was bitten by a dog in Renfrew.
The two-year-old suffered serious wounds to her right cheek.
The girl went over to pet a Collie Cross dog on the head but was pinned down and bitten in the face.
She was visiting the Sprinkles ice-cream parlour, in Inchinnan Road, Renfrew, when the incident took place on Monday around 6.35pm.
The young girl was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where she was undergoing facial surgery yesterday.
A 27-year-old woman has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the incident.
