Police are appealing for witnesses after three cars were deliberately set on fire in Johnstone.
Around 1.15am in the early hours of this morning police received a report of two Mercedes cars on fire in a driveway in Churchill Avenue.
Police then were told of another Mercedes car on fire in Sheldrake Place around 3.30am this morning.
Following a joint investigation between Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue, the fires are being treated as wilful.
Detective Sergeant Ally Semple from Paisley CID said: “Thankfully nobody was hurt during this incident however it was nonetheless a deliberate and very dangerous act.
“It is of utmost importance that we trace those responsible and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to let us know as soon as possible.
