The Scottish Conservative Party have selected solicitor Paul Masterton to contest the Paisley seat.
Renfrewshire North and West will be contested by Cllr David Wilson who has a seat on Inverclyde Council for Inverclyde East.
For Renfrewshire South the candidate will be Richard Appleton.
Paul Masterton lives in Paisley with his wife Heather and one year old daughter Daisy.
Paul said “My job in this election is not simply to hold the SNP to account on their inadequate record in areas for which they have responsibility in Scotland for eight years, but to set out a credible, practical, Scottish alternative which puts families first and focuses on the things which really matter to the people of Paisley.
“Whether it’s waiting times at the RAH, shambolic policing reforms which have seen armed police officers wandering round the town’s supermarkets and record numbers of stop and searches, an ever increasing attainment gap between rich and poor in our society, or a shocking decline in numeracy and literacy levels in our schools, time and time again the SNP have let us down.”
