The spate of thefts involving vans is continuing with more vehicles broken into this week.
Between 6.30pm on Tuesday 6th October and 7.30am on Wednesday 7th October a van was broken into whilst parked in Main Road, Elderslie. A quantity of tools were stolen.
Another vehicle was broken into and tools were stolen from Clark Street, Johnstone between 4pm on Tuesday 6th Oct and 8am on Wednesday 7th Oct.
Last week we reported break-ins that happened between Tuesday 29th September and Wednesday 30th September 2015 in Bridge of Weir Road, Linwood and Erskinefauld Road, Linwood.
A number of work tools were stolen from both vehicles.
Early on that week, between Thursday 24th September and Friday 25th September 2015, a Ford Transit van was broken into in Queens Drive, Bishopton and tools were stolen.
A further van was broken into in Holmes Crescent, Erskine on the same night and a CD player and quanity of tools stolen.
Two weeks ago a van was broken into in Kilbarchan and again tools were stolen.
Police are encouraging the public to be mindful of leaving valuable tools in vehicles overnight.
