A teenager has appeared in court facing 12 charges including fireraising and making bomb hoaxes.
Back in September three East Renfrewshire schools were evacuated after bomb warnings were received over the phone.
Mark Stewart, 18, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with the hoax calls.
Over 1000 pupils were evacuated from St Luke’s High School, Barrhead High School and St Mark’s Primary School in Barrhead.
Stewart faces a total of 12 charges including six related to bomb hoaxes, three wilful fireraising charges and two allegation under the Communications Act.
He appeared at court from custody on Monday for a brief private hearing.
Stewart made no plea or declaration and was bailed pending further investigations.
