Paul Masterton has been selected as the Scottish Conservative candidate in the upcoming General Election for East Renfrewshire.
Paul has previously stood for election as an MSP in 2016’s Scottish Parliament election.
The East Renfrewshire Conservative & Unionist Association said: “We are delighted to announce that Paul Masterton will be our candidate for the 2017 General Election.
“Paul has previously stood for election as a MSP in 2016’s Scottish Parliament election where he gained a well deserved reputation as a hard working candidate who gets stuck into a campaign.
“Paul will work tirelessly to earn the trust of voters’ and to represent our entire community. Should he be elected to parliament, Paul will be a strong voice for East Renfrewshire who stands up for residents. He will champion our community, not a narrow nationalism.
“Last year’s Scottish Parliament showed that only the Scottish Conservatives can take on and beat the SNP. Jackson Carlaw won the equivalent Holyrood constituency of Eastwood, and this time around it is only Paul Masterton that can win East Renfrewshire away from the SNP.
“The SNP will use any success in this General Election to push for another divisive and unwanted independence referendum. Every vote for Paul Masterton and the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party will help stop that from happening.”
