Police are appealing for information on the driver of a car that left the scene of a serious road crash on the M8 on Thursday monring.

Three vehicles were travelling eastbound on the M8 at the Whitecart Viaduct when a car crashed into the back of a red VW Golf, which then collided with the rear of a silver VW Polo.

The first car is described as a bluey/green VW Golf or Polo which stopped momentarily at the scene before heading off in the direction of Hillington. The vehicle would have suffered some minor damage to its front.




The cash happened on Thursday 11th May 2017 around 8.30am.

Enquiries are underway to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and officers are appealing for any witnesses or information. In particular officers, are asking for any dash cam footage to be handed in as it could assist the ongoing investigation.
