Local business The Wee Café @47 in Johnstone, held a series of fundraising events in aid of St Vincent’s Hospice in Howwood.
Kind hearted owners Derek Brown and Michelle Charlton donated a full days takings on Saturday 8th July to three good causes, St Vincent’s Hospice being one of them.
Along with this, staff at the café gifted a full weeks’ worth of tips to boost the fundraising total for St Vincent’s Hospice to an incredible £995!

Derek Brown said: “We would like to thank everyone who supported this event. The print centre for helping organise and donating time, money and effort to make this event possible.”
Helena Brown, who works in the print centre beside wee [email protected] said: “It was great that all of the local businesses came together to support this community event for a great cause.”
Marieanne Anderson, who works in the café said: “Everyone was in high spirits and it was great to see so many people from the local community supporting this event.”
Laura McDade, fundraiser at St Vincent’s Hospice said: “We hugely appreciate the effort that has gone in to this event and we would like to say a huge thank you to Derek, Michelle and all of the staff at the wee café@47 along with everyone who very kindly donated to the event and made it such a great success, what a fantastic amount to have raised! Events like these help us to continue to provide care to those in the Renfrewshire community and we cannot thank the organisers and donators enough.”
