A local Councillor has praised a local community group who work to improve the appearance and environment of Bridge of Weir.

The not-for-profit group of volunteers are appealing to local residents and businesses for donations that will help make the village look and feel brighter all year round.

Funds are spent on flowers, plants, shrubs and equipment to grow new plants including tools, planters, decorative materials etc.

Natalie Don, SNP Councillor for Bishopton, Bridge of Weir and Langbank said: “I cannot emphasise enough how much of a fantastic job Brighter Bridge of Weir do for our local community, keeping the village looking lovely all year round.

“The group is a non-profit community project ran by local residents.
