Voting in this year’s intu Braehead Retailer Awards has opened and canvassing for support from shoppers has already started.
Shona Ross, from Topshop and Richard Draper, from River Island added a bit of fun to the bid for votes by copying traditional political campaign tactics and getting around the mall with megaphones.
Thousands of shoppers are expected to vote online and on ballot papers available in the mall for six award categories – World Class Customer Service, Entertainment Venue, Menswear Store, Ladieswear, Footwear and Accessories, Jewellery, Food and Drink Retailer, Health and Beauty and overall Retailer of the Year.

Two categories, Best Use of Marketing and Store Manager of the Year will be chosen by the intu Braehead management team.
The winners of the awards, in association with McGill’s Buses, will be announced at a ceremony on Sunday, September 10 and they will go forward to intu’s national Retailer Awards competing against stores from all over the UK.
Marketing manager at intu Braehead, Christine Macdonald said: “We give our visitors a great shopping and leisure experience when they come to intu Braehead.
“These awards recognise the stores, leisure attractions, restaurants, bars and cafes that provide such a great service.”
To vote in the intu Braehead Retailer Awards 2017, log on to www.intu.co.uk/braehead or pick up a voting card from stores, the centre’s customer services desk, or the What’s On Boards in the mall. Closing date for voting is Monday, 4th September 2017.
