A car park in Bridge of Weir is to be reviewed to see if a redesign could increase the number of parking spaces.

Natalie Don, councillor for Bishopton, Bridge of Weir and Langbank confirmed, via her Facebook page, that a parking study will be commissioned.

The council owned car park at Livery Walk is normally busy, but at evenings and at weekends, it can be difficult to find a parking space.

Cllr Don said: “Following internal discussions, the current layout of the car park will be investigated to see if there is an opportunity through a redesign to increase the number of parking spaces.

“In addition to this, a parking study will be commissioned to understand how this car park is used. This will assist with better management of the car park in the future.

“Timescales have not yet been decided but I will post any updates here.”

The biggest problem with the car park is people parking there during the day and taking the bus to Glasgow. I don’t have a problem in the evening.
