A man has been arrested after he was caught red-handed inside a Paisley pub he had broken into.
At around 3am on Sunday 4th February officers from Paisley attended a report of an intruder alarm at the at the Lord Lounsdale pub in Paisley. On arrival, they observed a smashed window at the rear of the property.
Officers immediately cordoned off the premises and a search of the building was carried out. During the search, a male suspect aged 39 was apprehended.
The suspect had forced the puggy machine in an attempt to steal money. He was also found in possession of alcohol from the premises.
The suspect was arrested and attended Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday 5th February where he was remanded in custody and is awaiting trial.
