A worker has been threatened during a ‘terrifying’ armed robbery at a Johnstone Chinese takeaway.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the robbery at Louise’s Kitchen in Greenend Avenue on Sunday around 9pm.
A female member of staff was threatened with a weapon and told to hand over a quantity of cash. The suspect, who was male, then made off in the direction of Ryefield Avenue.
The man is described as 5ft10 and was wearing dark coloured clothing with the hood pulled up to cover his face.
Detective Constable Derek Johnston from Paisley CID said: “Thankfully the female member of the staff was not hurt during the incident but it was still a terrifying ordeal for her.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the surrounding area around 9pm last night and noticed a man matching the above description, or anything at all suspicious, to please get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Paisley CID via 101, quoting incident number 3861 of Sunday 18 January 2018. Alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
