A Paisley woman’s dream trip to Africa to take part in a charity trek may never happen as she lost her passport while out shopping.

Florist Laura Haveron should be flying to Namibia on Monday but now she has to pin her hopes on someone finds her missing passport within the next 72 hours.

Laura had visited shops in George Street and Paisley town centre and stores in Renfrew.

Laura, 26, told local newspaper the Paisley Daily Express: “I’m absoutely gutted. I was in tears when I realised I’d lost my passport.

“I’d been so looking forward to going to Africa for the charity trek but losing my passport has killed my dream.

“All I can do is plead for help to find it.

“I’ve been preparing for the charity challenge for two years but, unless my passport turns up, it will all be ruined.”

Laura contacted the Passport Office in Glasgow but was told it would take at least a week to get a replacement.
