Figures revealed by Renfrewshire Council show that Renfrewshire has 110 residents who are required to sign the Sex Offenders Register.

It has been revealed that 27, the largest amount, stay in the South of Paisley (post code PA2) in Glenburn, Foxbar, Hawkhead, Charlston and Lochfield.

In PA1 there are 17. This covers Paisley Town Centre, the West End, Seedhill and Ralston.

Renfrew has the second highest amount with 24. Johnstone has 18 registered residents. Arkleston, Shortroods, Feguslie and Linwood, I.e. PA3 have 13.

The rest of the offenders are spaced out over Renfrewshire.

Renfrewshire Council have said that some offenders return to where they are from and are monitored under Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements. This involves the Police, Local authorities, the NHS, the Scottish Prison Service and other partners.
