Police Scotland have found 41 year-old Claire Docherty who had been missing from her home in Paisley since Tuesday.

Police say that she was found safe and well in the Seedhill this afternoon and thank you for your posts and shares.

Police Scotland are appealing for help from the public to help to trace a woman missing from Paisley since Tuesday 1st December 2015

Claire Docherty, 41 from the Paisley was last seen around 11am on Tuesday morning in Paisley Town Centre.

She is described as 5 feet 2 inches height, of slim build, with curly or permed black hair, brown eyes, and sometimes wears glasses.

Despite an extensive search by police, there have been no further sightings of her and officers are becoming concerned regarding her well-being.

Inspector Andy Durk, Paisley Police Office said: “Ms Docherty has been missing for five days and this makes it all the more important that we trace her. Although we know where she stays she appears not to have been there for some time and it may be that she is staying with friends.

“She is quite well-known in the Paisley area and frequents the Paisley Town Centre and Ferguslie Park areas where she has some friends.

“I would also appeal directly to Claire to get in touch to let us know she is safe.”
