Police have confirmed a man who went missing from his home in Linwood has been traced and is ‘safe and well’.
Samuel Hunter, 82,, who suffers from Alzheimer’s went missing from his home in Gilmartin Road, Linwood.
Police Scotland said: “Thank you very much for sharing our appeal on 82-year-old Samuel Hunter who was missing from his home in Linwood.
“He has been traced and is safe and well.”
Officers at Johnstone are appealing for the assistance of the public to trace an 82-year-old man reported missing from his home in Gilmartin Road, Linwood.
Samuel Hunter, 82 – who suffers from Alzheimer’s – is described as white, 6ft in height and of medium build with thinning grey hair. He wears glasses and may be wearing grey tracksuit trousers and a dark-coloured hat.
Sergeant David Edington of Johnstone Police Office said today: “We are concerned for Mr Hunter’s safety and wellbeing and officers are currently carrying out enquiries and searches in the Renfrewshire area to trace him.
“I would urge anyone with any information on his whereabouts to contact Johnstone Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 2276 of 27th August.”
