A Renfrewshire councillor is encouraging all local groups within Renfrewshire to look at the Artroots Funding grants programme to see if they could benefit from it.

The ArtRoots Funding for the National Cycle Network in Scotland accepts applications up to £5,000 from constituted groups initiatives designed to improve cycle routes for better active travel and shaping their local environment.

Councillor Stephen Burns, SNP Paisley Southwest, said: “Sometimes even a small amount can make a tremendous difference to local groups.

“The Grants Programme has a deadline of 4th February 2019, and I would encourage as many local groups as possible to go online, complete the form and see if they can access this funding to help them improve their National Cycle Routes.

“For further information call Sustrans on 0131 346 3017 or visit their website at www.sustrans.org.uk.”
