Thomas Christie has been traced safe and well on Friday evening, confirms Police Scotland.

Police Scotland are appealing for help from the public to trace a man who has been reported missing from the Paisley area.

Thomas Christie, 42 was last seen in Paisley around 8.30am on Wednesday. He is described as 5ft 8, of stocky build, bald, clean shaven and wears glasses.

He was last seen wearing blue dungarees and work boots. He has access to a blue Citroen Dispatch panel van, registration place LB58 FHN, which he may be driving.

Constable Kieran Foster from Paisley Police Station, said: “Thomas has been going through a difficult time recently and his family are very concerned about him. “

He is known to spend time in the Gleniffer braes, Paisley, Uplawmoor and Gourock areas.

“He may also have links to Alloa.

“I am appealing to anyone with information regarding Thomas’s whereabouts to come forward. “I would also ask Thomas directly to please get in touch with someone to let us know that he is safe and well.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Paisley Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0821 of Thursday 7th February 2019.”
