The body of a man has been recovered from water at a Lochwinnoch Loch. Early indications show it may be missing Kilbarchan pensioner Allan Burns.
Formal identification has still to take place, however Mr Burns’ family have been informed about the recovery.
Police were called to a report of a body found in the water at Castle Semple Loch, Lochwinnoch at around 8.55am this morning.
A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death however there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
