Police have confirmed that teenager Jessica Howe has been traced and she is safe and well.

She was previously reported missing yesterday.

Concern is growing for a Houston teenager who has been missing since Monday.

The last sighting of a 13-year-old Jessica Howe was by her friends in Houston at around 3.45pm on Monday afternoon.

She is described as white, 5ft 4 inches in height and of slim build with long brown hair. She is thought to be wearing a white school shirt, a school tie, black short dress, black tights, plain white trainers with a zip at the side and a khaki/green bomber-style jacket. She was carrying a grey rucksack.

Sergeant Frank Williams of Renfrew Police Office said: “Jessica has not been missing before and it is completely out of character for her not to keep in close contact with her family and friends.

“Searches and enquiries are continuing to trace Jessica in a number of areas. She regularly visits Braehead Shopping Centre and the Erskine and Skelmorlie areas.

“Anyone who has seen Jessica, or who has any information on her whereabouts should contact Renfrew Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 3156 of 11th March 2019.”
