St Columba’s School in Kilmacolm was very pleased to donate a percentage of proceeds from its community fayre to Kilmacolm Playgroup and Toddlers.

Mrs Angus, Rector of St Columba’s School, presented a cheque for £650 to the local group for parents and carers with children from birth to age 5.

Susan Hunter of Kilmacolm Playgroup and Toddlers, said: “We would just like to say a huge thank you to St Columba’s School for their donation. This means we can secure another 6 month’s rent and our group can keep on running.

“This vital group gives new mums a chance to meet and share experiences at the toddler group and our playgroup offers a perfect stepping stone to nursery building confident children and helping them on their journey to education.”

Andrea Angus, Rector of St Columba’s School, said, “We are delighted to continue to support the Kilmacolm Toddler Group through the funds raised from our community fayre. We hope that this will secure the future of this invaluable community group and we look forward to working more closely with them.”
