The Bowfield Hotel and Country Club have officially opened their outdoor hydrotherapy pool. This latest addition to the Howwood-based venue, secures its place as one of the country’s top exclusive retreats.
Walk through the hotel’s AURA Spa and you’ll find the hydrotherapy spa located in a quiet secluded outdoor area, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and countryside.
The country retreat is part of the Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group who have invested a total of £4million on the venue’s redevelopment. This has included the Plumpy Duck Restaurant, Stables Bar, gym refurbishment, external beer garden, and a new spa. The investment cost of the hydrotherapy pool totalled £150k.
The top-of-the-range hydrotherapy pool is mosaic-tiled to a swimming pool standard. Ten people can comfortably relax inside. It’s surrounded by LED-lit decking and covered with a solid oak pavilion while a stunning Italian Masiero Chandelier hangs from the overhead canopy. A large decked area with outdoor furniture means guests can enjoy the hot bubbling Jacuzzi water, then wrap up in a bath robe, and relax outside, enjoying lunch, afternoon tea, coffees, cocktails or a glass of fizz while taking in the views.
The hydrotherapy pool is the latest addition to the hotel’s AURA Spawhich boasts a wide range of treatments, from luxury facials to massages and manicures. All treatments use products from Espa and Ishga. Any spa package grants guests access to the outdoor hydrotherapy pool. And there’s lots of options. There’s half day, full day and full AURA Spa Day experiences available from £49, with relaxing treatments, afternoon tea and lunch options.
Laura Dorran, AURA Spa Manager, said: “The outdoor hydrotherapy pool is the newest extension to our world-class AURA spa facility at the Bowfield. We’ve already had some people test out the hydrotherapy pool and the feedback has been great.
“This little area tucked away at the back of the Bowfield has always felt like a little hidden secret. We often see amazing sunsets and stunning skies over the Muirshiel Country Park and the Hill of Stake.
“And now we’ve opened the outdoor hydrotherapy pool, it means everyone can have this experience. It really is the perfect escape and visitors should book in plenty of time because they won’t want to leave.”
