Williamsburgh Primary School have received a fundraising boost from a national home builder.

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has recently donated £1,000 to Williamsburgh Primary Parent Council’s fundraising towards the provision of new playground equipment.

The fundraising committee reached out to Taylor Wimpey to provide a boost to their fundraising efforts, allowing work on the playground enhancements to start shortly.

Taylor Wimpey’s donation marks a key milestone for its local development at Hawkhead Gardens in Paisley, where the first phase of new homes has just been released for sale.

Commenting on the support it has received from Taylor Wimpey, Nova Scott, Head Teacher at Williamsburgh Primary, said: “We are extremely grateful for the support that we have received from Taylor Wimpey and we can’t thank them enough for their generous donation. Our Parent Council Fundraising Committee has worked tirelessly to raise the much-needed funds to create a better playground and outdoor experience for our children to enjoy. I would like to say a huge thank you to the team at Taylor Wimpey – their donation has provided a boost to our funds to achieve the target we need to arrange the work.”

Taylor Wimpey is delighted to offer its support as Kirsty McGill, Head of Sales, said: “We are proud to be able to support Williamsburgh Primary with a fundraising boost to allow their plans for a better playground to get underway sooner rather than later.

“We do more than just build high-quality homes. Being able to work with local businesses and organisations that surround our developments means a great deal to us, and it’s great to know that we are helping to make a difference to the lives of people in local communities.”

Taylor Wimpey’s donation to Williamsburgh Primary is one of the many contributions being made by the housebuilder towards community facilities and infrastructure in the wider area.
