Johnstone Phoenix Theatre Group (JPTG) are on the look out for their next Dame!

The search is on to find that big personality to play their Panto dame in the groups next Panto – ‘Alice in Pantoland’.

JPTG told Renfrewshire News: “To be a pantomime dame it’s imperative to have a wicked sense of humour. You definitely need humour to be a dame.

“Whether you sing, dance or just throw out classic one liners, dames need to get the audience laughing along. The dames also needs to be comfortable in heels and glamorous costumes.

“Dames are the heart of every pantomime.”

Auditions will take place on Thursday 8th August at 7.00pm in Eastgate Church Hall, Elderslie.

Those successful must be free for rehearsals are every Tuesday and Thursday starting from Tuesday 3rd September and also five Sundays before the show.
