Police in Paisley are appealing for witnesses following an alleged hate crime on Sunday when a taxi driver was allegedly subjected to racial remarks by three males.

All suspects are believed to be male, in their 20s. One was wearing a grey tracksuit, one in grey shorts and a grey hoodie and the third in a grey and blue hoodie at around 4.10am on Sunday in Saints Street near to Love Street .

The men are then alleged to have blocked the taxi from leaving the street for a short time before the arrival of a second taxi.

The taxi driver was driving a silver Mercedes.

Police Scotland, said: “If anyone has any information or dash cam footage of the incident, please contact police on 101 or anonymously on Crime Stoppers on 0800555111, quoting incident number 1327 of the 11th August.”
