A body has been found in the search for missing Edinburgh man Rufus Brickell.

Police Scotland confirmed that at around 3.45pm on Friday the body of a man was found on the coast at Helensburgh.

Formal identification has yet to take place however the family of 22-year-old Rufus has been informed.

An appeal was made in Renfrewshire as it thought he may have travelled to this area. Police said Rufus was viewed on CCTV footage getting off of a train at Kilpatrick railway station just after midnight on Sunday 6th October 2019. He left the station and was spotted walking south across the Erskine bridge.
