Police Scotland have made an appeal to the public for information to trace two teenage girls who have been reported missing and may be together.

Abbie MacIntosh, 15 and Mia Russell, 16, both from Paisley, have been missing since Monday.

Police confirm the pair were last seen at around 7.10pm on Monday in St James Street, Paisley.

Abbie is described as white, 5ft 2, with brown eyes and long black hair. She was wearing a black leather jacket, blue skinny jeans and black converse trainers.

Mia is 5ft 3 and has long brown hair. When last spotted, she was thought to be wearing a red and burgundy puffa style jacket, light blue jeans and black converse trainers.

The girls are known to frequent the Glasgow City Centre area and may be in the company of  each other.

Paisley Police can be contacted on the telephone number 101 if anyone has any information that may help officers trace Abbie and Mia.
