Road safety checks have been carried out by Police officers throughout the Paisley area.
Community Policing officers were out and about at roads in areas described as ‘areas of concern’. The main complaints received from local residents include speeding vehicles, noisy exhausts and erratic driving behaviour.
Approximately 40 vehicles were checked at various locations including Foxbar Road, Lochfield Road and Hawkhead Road.
Inspector Tracy Harkins said: “We will continue to address community concerns to ensure the safety of local residents. Invariably it is vulnerable members of the community who become the victims of road traffic accidents.
“Both the young and elderly are at particular risk of speeding vehicles so it is imperative that drivers reduce their speed within residential areas.”
