Emergency services attended and both women were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The male driver and female passenger of the Nissan Note were uninjured but have been left badly shaken.

The road was closed for several hours as crash scene investigators conducted enquiries at around 11.45am on Thursday.

Sergeant Roy McCarney said: “I am appealing to people and motorists who were in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch with any information they may have.

“In particular, motorists with dash cams, please check your footage as it may have captured images which could assist our enquiries.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1140 of 29 October, 2020.”
