An elderly couple in the Glenburn area of Paisley have been conned out of money by bogus workmen.

On Wednesday two men attended the home of an elderly couple and allegedly offered to carry out work on the victim’s roof and requested a substantial sum of money. The victims agreed and paid a significant deposit up front.

The suspects are believed to have carried out very little work to the roof before making of from the scene. The suspect may have been driving a blue motor vehicle with a set of ladders on the roof.
