Officers have confirmed that Joasiah Bamidele who was reported missing from Paisley on Thursday has been traced and is safe and well.

Police Scotland said: “We are pleased to confirm that Joasiah Bamidele who was reported missing from Paisley has been traced safe and well.”

Police Scotland are appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing a 14-year-old boy who has gone missing from the Paisley area.

Joasiah Bamidele, originally from London and speaks with an English accent, has been missing since Thursday.

He was last seen in the Shortroods area of Paisley at around 5.45pm.

He is described as being 5ft 7 inches in height, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey puffer jacket and grey jogging bottoms and was travelling using an electric scooter.

Police Scotland said: “Josiah is not familiar with the Paisley or Glasgow area, we just want to make sure he is safe and well and would encourage him, or anyone who knows where he is, to get in touch with officers at Paisley Police station via 101. Please quote incident number 2489 of 6th May 2021.”
