RIG Arts, a socially engaged arts charity working throughout the West of Scotland, has recently begun outdoor workshops in Seedhill, Paisley.

The workshops, titled EVOLVE, aim to inspire and unlock community potential and to create a sense of place, celebrate local identity and renew pride in the area whilst developing a creative vision.

There is currently two outdoor workshops running in McKerrell Street Playpark every Friday from 1pm until 3pm and 4.30pm until 6.30pm.

Artist Marie-Claire Lacey is leading the 4.30pm session. She’s working with experimental approaches to mapping the area. Marie is assisted by RIG Arts’ Artist Assistant, Laurie.

It’s free to attend and guests can drop in and attend the event.

There is an extra two online workshops that with local textiles artists Sharron McGrady and another with poet Katharine Macfarlance.
