A man has been left with a laceration above his eye after being attacked outside a Paisley nightclub.

The 24-year old victim was left requiring hospital treatment after being set upon by a group of four men when he left the club around 3am where he had been drinking.

The attack happened outside Vienna’s Nightclub on New Street in Paisley at around 3am.

He was taken to the town’s Royal Alexandra Hospital where he received treatment.

Officers are checking CCTV in the area to determine what has occurred.

The first man is described as having dark hair, wearing a white top, light blue jeans and light coloured high top trainers.

The second man had dark hair and was wearing a dark jacket with a light coloured top underneath.

The third man is described as heavy set wearing a dark jacket and a fourth man with dark hair, of slim build and wearing a dark hooded top with a white logo printed on the back.
