Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has shown its support for local community rugby in Bishopton by becoming the strip sponsor for the Bishopton RFC under 13’s – a team that is part of a local community rugby football club for boys who play 13-a-side rugby in the local West Regional Under 13’s league.
The team’s new strip has been designed by team member Billy McKie, aged 12 following a competition at the club to create a new look for the team using the club’s core colours of gold, black and green. The new strip was chosen for its striking design and clever use of the club colours.

Secretary for Bishopton RFC, Andy Jackson said: “We’re thrilled to have received this helpful donation from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, and we are grateful for their support of initiatives like ours in the local community.
“Our club was established in 1994, and for 26 years we’ve encouraged young people to play rugby and learn what it means to be part of a team. In total our club has around 100 children playing rugby at different age groups, and our ambition for this under 13’s team is for them to be our first cohort to progress from Primary 1 through to under 18’s. The under 13’s team are so proud to wear this new strip and they are bursting with talent.
“We’re delighted to see them all looking so smart and professional as they approach every game.”
Commenting on the sponsorship, Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland said: “It is incredibly important to us to support the local community and we’re delighted to have been able to help to support children’s rugby in Bishopton. Our donation has given a helping hand to a progressive community club that is providing a great opportunity for young people to lead a healthy lifestyle, and we’re really proud to be involved.
“This sponsorship also underpins our commitment to continue to deliver an impressive range of family homes at our local Dargavel Village development, and to play our role in bringing the overall development masterplan to life.
“Following a number of successful years at Dargavel Village, our latest development continues to be popular with a wide range of buyers looking to be part of this exciting and transformative development, and our team is on hand to give customers the best possible home buying experience.”
