Police Scotland have confirmed that Monica Monaghan, 14 who was reported missing from Johnstone has been ‘traced safe and well’.

Police Scotland said: “Thank you to everyone who helped with the earlier appeal.”

Police Scotland are appealing for the public’s help to trace a 14-year-old girl who is missing from Johnstone.

Monica Monaghan was last seen around 6.20pm on Friday, 22 October in the Greenend Avenue area.

She is described as being around 4ft, 11in in height, with long black hair. When last seen she was wearing a grey body warmer, black leggings and white trainers.

It is believed Monica may have travelled to the Ayrshire area.

Constable Stuart Hodge, said: “I am appealing for anyone who has seen Monica, or has any information on her whereabouts to get in touch.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 4158 of 22 October.”
