The police confirmed last night that Daniel has been found safe and well was in the process of being reunited with his family.

Police Scotland are appealing for help from members of the public to trace a young man, who is autistic, after he went missing in Paisley.

Daniel Reid, 19 was last seen in Springbank Road, Paisley at around 8pm tonight.

Daniel is described as white, 6ft tall, thin build with black short hair, he is wearing black pyjamas and black trainer style shoes.

He is likely to be in possession of a blue babies style dummy which he would normally keep in his mouth and he normally wears large style over the head earphones and carries his tablet. He may also be in possession or wearing a Nike reversible jacket that is dark blue on one side and light blue on the other.

Sergeant Jackie Melvin said “Daniel suffers from autism but can communicate verbally but he is not used to being outside on his own.

“He is a vulnerable young man who requires to be traced ASAP to ensure his safety particularly as he is not suitably dressed for the current weather conditions”.

“Daniel is most likely to still be in the local Paisley area and police request that anyone who has seen him or knows of his whereabouts contact Police Scotland ASAP on 101 quoting incident number 3246 of 6th December.”
