XSite Braehead is teaming up with Glasgow fitness influencer and personal trainer David Hatt to show shoppers and thrill seekers alike how they can beat the Christmas stress at XSite.

David’s wellbeing workout video explains how two of XSite’s most dynamic and fun indoor attractions can benefit your physical fitness as well as providing a fantastic boost for your mental wellbeing.

Tackling the vertical climbing walls at Climbzone, one of the largest free standing climbing walls in the UK, can help provide a sense of achievement for overcoming an obstacle. It’s also a great full body work out particularly for your back, biceps and grip strength – especially handy for carrying those heavy Christmas shopping bags. There are over seventy climbing routes, for varying levels of ability, meaning there’s something for everyone.

The trampolining arena at Gravity can help you optimise your balance and coordination. It’s a great cardio work out too, which helps improve your core strength. Christmas is a time of joy so letting loose on the trampoline can help release your inner child and get those endorphins pumping.

Rosalind Gibson, Marketing Manager at XSite Braehead, said: “There’s a scientific link between exercise and happiness levels, which in turn can help combat anxiety, something that people can experience during the hustle and bustle of Christmas time.

“Christmas may be a time for giving but we want to encourage our customers to give themselves a break too. We want our guests to enjoy their time at XSite, so we’re thrilled David could use his expertise to highlight how fitness can be fun and contribute towards wellbeing.”

David, who has amassed a huge following through his online coaching, said: “Your endorphins are your brain’s feel-good neurotransmitters. Physical activity is great for releasing these. The activities on offer at XSite are not only physically, but mentally rewarding – all while providing an entertaining escape from the Christmas stress.”
