An appeal for witnesses has been launched after a Linwood couple were robbed in their own home.

Three men entered a property on Morar Drive on Tuesday and attacked a 42-year-old man and 37-year-old woman and stole items before leaving the property at around 6.45pm

The male victim was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment. The woman sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.

Police Scotland said extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish who is responsible for this incident.

The three male suspects are described as having Scottish accents and were all wearing dark tracksuits.

Detective Constable Donald MacIntyre, of Paisley CID, said: “I would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident or saw people acting suspiciously around the area to contact us.

“We are also keen for any local residents with private CCTV or possible dashcam footage to please come forward.

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2727 of 12 April. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
