Police Scotland are are appealing for information after a man passed away on the motorway near Paisley in the early hours of Monday morning.

The motorway at junction 27 westbound at the White Cart viaduct was closed as officers dealt with the sudden death of a 56-year-old man.

Police received the call around round 4.20am on Monday 16th May, 2022.

While the death is not being treated as suspicious, officers are appealing for any information to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

Police Scotland said: “If anyone was on the motorway around the time of the incident, in particular, any motorists with dash cams, please contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0325 of 16 May 2022.”
