Police Scotland are investigating an attempted murder in the Ferguslie Park of Paisley on Friday night.

Officers received a report of a man with serious injuries near Ferguslie Park Avenue at the junction with Barochan Way, Paisley at around 9.40pm on Friday 10th June.

Emergency services attended and a 43-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with life threatening injuries.

The incident is being treated as attempted murder and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Buxton of Paisley CID said: “We are appealing to members of the public who witnessed the man being attacked to get in touch with officers.

“We also ask that drivers with DashCam footage pass it on to police.
