Paisley and Renfrewshire South MP Mhairi Black has married her partner Katie McGarvey at a ceremony at Pollokshields Burgh Hall in Glasgow on Saturday.
The Renfrewshire MP, who wore a grey kilt and waistcoat broke the news on twitter, she said: “Turns out weddings *are* all they’re cracked up to be. Thanks to everyone who has shared their warm wishes, and made the day so special.”
She was congratulated by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon who tweeted: “More lovely wedding news” followed by two heart emojis. She had previously tweeted her congratulations to SNP Transport minister Jenny Gilruth tied the knot with Kezia Dugdale, the former Scottish Labour leader.
