Police Scotland are appealing for information following a sexual assault in a Paisley park.

A 44-year-old  was woman was walking though Durrockstock Park when she was sexually assaulted by a man at around 9pm on Saturday.

The suspect is described as being in his 50s with dark grey hair. It’s thought he was wearing a dark top or jumper, dark tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Detective Inspector Alex Allardyce said: “Officers are carrying out enquiries to trace the man responsible and would ask anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or concerning in the area at the time to please get in touch.

“We would like to reassure locals that additional patrols are in place and anyone with information should contact officers on 101 quoting reference 3611 of 16 July, 2022.”
