A former Scots youth footballer has appeared in court accused of causing the death of a teenager.

Ciaran Dickson, 20, allegedly struck Aidan Pilkington, 18, in Glasgow’s Partick in the early hours of 11th September, 2021.

Pilkinton was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Dickson, of Erskine, Renfrewshire, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving and four other charges.

These include failing to stop to give information to police and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
