Police Scotland is appealing for information to help trace a man missing from East Renfrewshire.

Rory Derbyshire, 45 was last seen at around 6pm on Monday in Easterton Avenue in Busby.

He is described as being around 5ft 11inches tall, with short dark hair. He has a distinctive scar on his left jawline. When last seen he was wearing a black hooded top with a ‘Boss’ emblem, blue jeans and dark trainers. He was also in possession of a dark coloured rucksack.

He has previously been known to frequent Whitelee Wind Farm in Eaglesham.

Police Inspector William Campbell said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Rory who has not been seen since yesterday. This is an extremely worrying time for his family and friends.

“Officers are carrying out extensive searches and reviewing CCTV in an effort to trace him.

“I would urge anyone who has any information on Rory’s whereabouts or who has had contact with him to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3359 of 1 August 2022.”
