Two teams continue to dominate their respective divisions in the Paisley Burgh Pool League, as Houston’s B and Pockets E extended their unbeaten runs after the latest round of matches.
In the Premier Division, Houston’s B have maintained a perfect record of eight wins from eight games, sitting comfortably at the top of the table on 16 points. Close behind are Pockets C, who have also avoided defeat with six wins and one draw from their opening fixtures.
The battle for the top spots is heating up, with Horseshoe A and Pockets D following closely behind, but it’s Houston’s B who remain the team to beat as the league heads into Round 9.
Over in the Championship Division, Pockets E have been equally impressive, leading the way with seven wins and a draw. Red Fox Inn also continue their strong start, remaining unbeaten with five wins and three draws to sit just two points adrift of the leaders.
At the other end of the tables, St Peters Club and The Keystone are still searching for their first wins of the season, as the competition intensifies heading into the halfway point of the campaign.
Both divisions return to action tomorrow, with several key clashes expected to shape the standings going into November.
