People across Paisley and Renfrewshire are being invited to learn more about fostering at a free drop-in event later this month.

Kibble, one of the UK’s leading children’s charities, is hosting an informal session aimed at individuals, couples and families who may be considering becoming foster carers.

The event will take place on Wednesday 25th March 2026 at 7pm in Paisley and is designed to give people a better understanding of what fostering involves and the difference it can make to a child or young person’s life.

Open to anyone interested, the session is suitable for those just starting to explore fostering, those already part-way through the process, or people looking to expand their family while making a positive impact in their community.

Kibble’s specialist fostering team will be on hand to offer advice, answer questions and explain how the charity supports foster carers and young people in their care.

Attendees will also be guided through the fostering process, from initial enquiry to becoming a registered carer, as well as hearing about the personal and community benefits of fostering.

Sandy Mayhew, Executive Director of Community Services at Kibble, said: “Fostering can make a life-changing difference to children and young people who need a safe, supportive home. This drop-in session is a great opportunity for people to learn more about what fostering involves and explore whether it could be the right path for them.

“We are committed to supporting our foster carers every step of the way, from the first enquiry through to providing ongoing guidance, training and support. For those who are considering fostering, this event offers a welcoming space to find out more and take that first step.”

The free session will be held at 1 Station Road, Paisley, PA1 2SB.
